It is not an investment per se. The money is an advertising expense for the sponsors. The return is advertising impressions that create brand awareness and or increased sales. All the money is spent, or carried over to the next season to be spent. There are no dividends or stock appreciation.

yeah that was a DUMB thing to say. my nextdoor neighbors are losing their house and so is the guy two houses down on the other side. with 11.2% unemployment (cali) it's pretty obvious unless you are DUMB that there is a shortage of jobs.
