BrassTownBald TT

Yep you heard me right. A 10K TT with the last 6.5K or so going up the Bald. Coming May 30th. I got a Sram 11- 28 today just for this. That still wont be easy gearing though but I will just push through it. Levi used an 11- 28 right, so surely I can

good lawd that is going to be rough. during 2004 (I think) TGA, I rode from unicoi lodge to hogpen, up brasstown, then up the other side of hogpen on the return to meet my wife, and still twitch just thinking about that day.

Blech!

I did the Brasstown Baldbuster last year with a 53/39, 11x32 and still walked a piece of "The Wall" because I cramped up when I tried to stand up.

I will be back up there for more a week from Saturday, probably with the same gearing again.

A week from Saturday? You need to be in Lakeland!

I kinda want to do it just like I kinda want to have a hemmorhoid lanced. Just a new thing to re-calibrate your pain scale.

Whatever you do, don't stop halfway up The Wall. It took me 4 tries to clip back in before getting moving up again.

Getting to the top was a highlight of my 2008, even if it wasn't during a race.

Getting back down was treacherous!
