2 weeks 2 podiums

race report: coming off my first win i wasn't sure to go to this next race as it was 4 hours away. the wife and i made it a night away and low and behold i got 3rd. these are the 2 best weeks i have had ever on a bike. and all this on a 19lb bike with a set of 1850gr wheels . this meant as much or more than my win last week b/c it was a pretty flat course and me being me it was not suited to my body type. anyways 2 guys got off the front a little and another guy and I bridged and we buried ourselves staying away from the pack for the last 60km of the 93km race. we all worked together and it was a great day. on a sad note some crashed about 6 guys out of our race while we were going in a straight line in the first 5km. this is supposed to be cat 3 not cat 5. my legs started cramping w/ about 30km to go and all i can say is that they haven't hurt this bad since i tried to keep up with the fast guys on my first ever group ride 2 years ago to this day. i took my hrm and computer off my bike for the race. i knew we had a good pace but no idea we held it that fast for that long.

the top 4 finishers were the break away and we slowed near then end when we could see that we wouldn't be caught. to bad i discovered this sport at age 29 and not 15.

Nice work. There's something about those heavy bikes and wheels in Cat 3
