Booger. Everytime I see Cav, I think his nickname should be Booger. He just reminds me of the kids in grade school that were always dirty and had dried up boogers around their nose.

If you read through this: https://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2008...tour-de-france, it seems to indicate that 1600-ish watts is the end-of-race wattage. Not max watts.

it's a relief to see his 5s power qualifies him as a World Class international pro. if it didnt, columbia might send him back to the isle of man without his team bike.

my test wattage is 1491w and i weigh 71Kg...

My race wattage has yet to be over 1250W,...people hear my #'s and think i should be blowing up allot of guys in sprints but if your dead trying to hold on for the last 2-3 minutes to get into position that 5s power is always way less. hell i would be happy to push 1300w in a finish sprint in an actual race.

The numbers I saw in testing were always 2-400 less than the numbers I saw in races. Even the races I won.

So what's the over-under on Cav being able to toss up the 1999W on a ptap in training?

still wouldn't be surprised if he could max it out on stomp though...

i think he's just so good cause his jump is incredible and when other start to fade he times it so that he is still gaining speed at the finish line. plus i don't care what anyone says he is wicked aero, he was so low in his last win in the Giro he knocked his glasses off on his stem or SRM computer. that has to matter at 40+mph.

Even if we could get an accurate picture of the instantaneous CdA from that image, that wouldn't give us anywhere near an accurate picture of what their aerodynamics are doing. Their legs are pumping, they're jerking their bikes left to right and likely moving up and down. Seems like nasty calculus.
