Mildly interesting wheel disc observation
I just tried out a rear wheel disc for the 1st time on a long practice outing and noticed that something was oddly different -- the wind noise around the ears from my everyday helmet was virtually gone! That was really unexpected. Normally I get a very loud turbulent wind noise above about 20 mph.
So, the disc is somehow able to affect the aerodynamics of my head. Cool. That's really about it I guess.

Whoa. You don't play fair. Is that actually simulating the wheel rotations or just the linear velocity?

Um, you didn't also switch to an aero helmet did you!?
If not, maybe your Reticular Activating Cortex was just zoned into the *new sound of the disk and tuning out the wind...
