A number of years ago I had to do some GIS stuff for the Air Force and it had to be done using Intergraph for some obscure reason. I was not impressed, but I got it done.

Yesterday, I had a bike fit, which hopefully will clear up a few problems I've been having as of late.

1 hour ez today - I enjoyed my few days off this week (apart from the 10-15 min I did on the trainer for my fit yesterday, total of 3 days) but was itching with anticipation last night/this morning to get back out.

4:48 today. Just a hair over 100 miles. Most of it solo, I had a couple of guys who hung on my wheel for 48 miles but never stuck their noses in the wind. I liked it that way. I worked out a bunch of **** in my head, or at least hit acceptance.

I've now ridden more miles this week than I have in the previous month.

2:10 mixed Z3/Z4 with five short VO2max efforts early on.

Legs had a lot of trouble driving HR where I targeted. First three were okay, last two pretty marginal. Also started getting headachy during these - could have been the cold air or I may have been clenching my teeth or something. Rest of the ride was Z4 fading to Z3 then fading to Z2 as I fatigued. Way more tired now than I should be after a ride like this.

Easy tomorrow then two crits on Sunday, then I will evaluate if maybe it's time for a rest week. My hours lately have been neither long nor especially intense, but my legs haven't been giving me what I need for a while now.

I'm also at the end of a rest week. It was HARD to stay at home this afternoon and not go riding. About 30 minutes of easy bike commuting today was enough. Instead I'm doing cooking intervals.

Looking forward to eatervals later this evening.

Tomorrow starts a 3 week build followed by a taper week before the Ocala weekend (two road races and an ITT). I have no delusions of grandeur. I just want to not embarrass myself too much.

Easy 70 minutes, but, sought out some climbs. I've been working diligently on my hip flexion, and, somewhere along the way in this ride, I was able to get my left leg in a bit better; this made for a better feeling with respect to engagement and power generation.

3:30 this morning with some local guys. Z3 average but z5 at times. Keeping pace with a 150 pound climber and accomplished rider sucks when you weigh over 200.

2.5hrs...Did I say something about easy?? Oops...

Started out with my wife and few others...Didn't last long, then one guy and myself broke off to do our own thing...He pushed the pace a tad...

Felt good on the bike, a bit tight and sore now, which is to be expected...

BTW I friggin hungry and need caffeine!

3.5 hrs, a solid 2+ of SST. Thinking about going to MTB this afternoon if trails are clear. so far I've got 8 hrs for the week - and still tomorrow to ride as well.

45 minutes of zone 0 today. Legs were sore this morning but felt snappy after noodling around for awhile.

6.5 hours with the team. 354 Bikescore. Weird thing was, right around 5.5 hours, I stopped feeling any fatigue or pain. Holding 520 watts for 15-20 seconds going up a roller was like no big deal. It's weird because at around 4 hours, I was happy to just see 200w on the head unit. Anyone have that happen before?

Unfortunately I'm not going to be able to make it out this year as school got pretty bad mid semester. I had to miss a a few races that I wanted to go. It looked like I could recover if I went to conference championships and did really well, but I with the amount of work I had to do I couldn't make the 8 hour (one way) trip for the weekend. If you're heading to U23/Elites, I'll be there!

About 3h45m, 71 miles, some new-to-me climbs. Just like last week's 70-miler, I tried to push myself the whole way, even though the power was trickling in downward direction throughout the last hour. It's amazing how reproducible the body is - both my average power and xPower were within 3W of last week's results. Nudged my LTS right up to 80, but it won't stay there because that'll be my last hard effort before racing next weekend.

Team ride today was very small (3 of us) as most of the team was racing either road or mtb or both over the weekend up in Georgia.

When the other guys were 8 miles from home I turned off to get in some extra miles of tempo.

3 hrs z2 today, first day this year I could have either used a water stop or an extra bottle (for that length of ride) as the last 30 minutes were pretty hot :O. Nice end to my recovery week though, rounding out the week at 7:10 and 216 TSS.
