Pyramids. 321,314,280,224,279,326,362. 1,1,2,5,2,1,1. I was aiming for 320,320,280,225,280,320,320. Well, I didn't aim on the last one, I just went for it to see what it was like if I didn't pace it.
Looks like I should probably bump them up a little. Maybe 335 for the 1 minute, 290 for the 2 minute. They hurt though, a lot. So maybe they were good.

Extra bonus training tonight. Rode an hour to my car, then found the battery was dead. So I rode another hour home trying to beat the dark with no headlight.

Ouchies on my intervals last night. Coach had me do 6x3min at max(the ouchy part). Ended up doing 395/343/324/305/299/323. Basically had nothing left after the third as seen by the power numbers, and gutted myself for decent result on the last.

Sprints for me too. Time to go from top 10 placing to top 1. Did a few on the trainer last night. Next race is in 2 weeks.

Went to the park for some 20 minute intervals tonight and it was pretty much closed for some stupid running "race." Ran into a few friends and accidentally set a new 1 min. peak power while screwing around. Lost two sprints and won one.

Wednesday night hammerfest. No drama, focused on being comfortable and steady whether I was on the front, in the middle, or in the back. 230tss and driving my TSB back down into negatives.

2:30 with what was suppose to be 5x5's - turned into 3x5's and then 2 4 minute intervals at the end cause it was fricken hot here this afternoon and I was wiped from getting up at 5:45 the past couple of mornings (for radiological worker training as part of my summer internship). Luckily this morning I slept into 7:15...hopefully my last hard workout before my taper will go well!

2hr+ w/ 3x20s at just under threshold. Legs did not feel great, and was a pretty miserable workout. Poured rain for about half the workout too, which made it absolutely miserable.
Looking forward to my active recovery spin tonight.

First time posting in the training thread in a couple of years! I'm not really doing anything specific. Just riding my bike. Spent a couple years injured and away, unable to get much mileage, low on fitness. This year I've been getting back in business, riding and racing the bike and getting strong again.
It occurred to me during my ride a couple of nights ago that I was basically treating this season as though I had just taken up racing for the first time - I'm simply trying to increase my volume over the year and redevelop a base. So that's idea I'll keep in my head. Patience! I should come into next season with a solid base of fitness to build on. For now, I'm actually doing okay on relatively low volume (like I said, trying to gradually increase it) and having a lot of fun.

Haven't rode since the race on Sunday. Arthritis has flared up a bit and feeling pretty stiff and lethargic...I feel like I'm a good decade or two older than I actually am. Going to show up for the club hills ride tonight and see how it goes.

BTW did Werts win from a sprint or breakaway last night?
