How long do we need to keep it a secret for all of the people who are determined to remain out of touch?

I was looking through the results list; a young sorta-local guy was in there today. Tuesday night he was racing our parking lot crit, Sunday he's in with the big boys. Sadly, he's on the DNF portion but he's got a lot of company.

Yeah, I saw that local Gainesville boys Phil G and Bobby S were also in the DNF dust bin. But those guys also did the ITT the day before so they have a built in excuse. Hey, Dave Z is also a DNF.

I talked to Bobby S on Thursday morning and he told me that the last time up Paris Mountain is unbelievable. The "big boys" big ring it and then your race is OVER. Damn.

The Cycling News live feed said the Bobby went down early. I talked to a friend that was there and he told me that Bobby was off the back, trying to catch back on. I don't know if he ever made it back. He also said the pace up Paris Mtn. was brutal all day.

1. it was a mixed race (domestic and foreign racers), which meant that it was not uncommon for the 4th, 5th, whatever placed rider to turn out to be the 'champion.'

2. no money, no honey.
