Ahhh...but you see this way you can blame your single speed....

"I would have caught the guy but everytime we hit an uphill or downhill he'd just pull away from me. I mean I was riding a singlespeed and all..."

It's OK....I was pimping demo wheels I had built up for the local series. Full carbon 50mm tubulars with Challenge Grifo tires. They rode awesome but I got a lot of "COME ON PSIMET! WE KNOW IT'S NOT YOUR WHEELS HOLDING YOU BACK!"

and...

"I BET YOU'D GO FASTER WITH CARBON WH.....NEVERMIND!"

I'm just saying that I'm glad I didn't have to do the 5 starts.
I tried to do the C race on Saturday, but my friend was at the registration table and said "You should at least do the B's. You'll just be beating on women and children in the C's. It's better to DFL in the B's than to win in the C's"

We have a category for you. Clydesdales- and it's pretty damn competitive.

If you mean both of us, I'm still about 30 pounds away from the Clydesdale competition.

I could cheat and just eat another triple baconator, but I suppose I'd die.

Not quite there. Trying to get down into the 170 range but now just barely sub 190. Better than a few months ago.

Got my Chili Con Crosso frame yesterday and just waiting for the rest of the parts to come in to build it up.

I practiced for 4 hours yesterday. 2 hours beofre the practice group got there for a warmup (and to miss the horrendous traffic that's on my way there at race time) and 2 hours with the small group.

It was hell. we had this little course for the first practice. It was a hill and flat ground at the bottom of it.
We get to the hill, dismount and run up, hop on, ride down the hill, than ride back up it. I did that 12 times in succession.

Our local practice in a city park got shut down. Someone complained we were beating up the grass or something on Monday night. Kind of disappointed. Finally get the cross bike put together last week and I don't get to make it to practice with the fellas. Going for the CX group ride tonight on the bike trail with some impromptu dismounts.
