lots of eggs today, some salmon a whey shake. going to take in some chicken breast and some grass fed burger, too. lots of salad greens, peppers, broccoli, some carrots and other veg. a few nuts here and there and a bit of full fat milk in a 5oz double cap. decaf, sigh. some unsweetened green tea and a bit of decaf french pressed. lots of water.

I rarely post here. But, I was thrilled to see that, after feeling that I had been eating cheese, chocolates, bread and other glorious french food and drinking wine to my heart's and stomach's content for the past 2 weeks in France, I lost 4 pounds!! I rode reasonably hard too -- but not killer hard. But, I was not expecting this. I should have kept a food and activity log so I could continue the regimen.

I hear ya. Two weeks of eating next to nothing and another week of trying to eat something so I stopped dropping weight because of some unidentified stomach/intestinal issue. Netted me 6 lbs of weight loss so far. Now at 159 lbs. Not the way I wanted to get there though.

I'm losing inches and gaining weight.

Maybe I'm getting lead poisoning. What else could it be? The last time I was at these "inches" I was 15 lbs lighter.

the mango, coconut, and rum diet I was on last weekend seems to have paid off and I was 2lbs lighter this morning than the week before. Hmm.

I'll probably blow that today though.

back on a diet. I'm at 194 and need more like 170 for racing.

This diet thing sucks. It's 9 PM, and I'm hungry, but I have 60 calories left for the day. Riding hard for short time makes it harder than long slow rides.

I had light mac and cheese. It's Kraft family size, with an extra cup of macaroni, 1/2 cup skim, only 3 tbsp butter, and the cheese packet. Still probably not healthy per se, but much healthier than normal.

finally, i can post some real food stuff here. five years ago, i bought a George Foreman grill when i moved off campus. it really didn't get much use other than grilling a piece of ham now and then. for the past two plus years, it has been sitting in a box. on Independence Day, i hosted a few friends and actually learned to grill burgers and salmon. today, i made my own burger for the first time, and i must say i'm pretty pleased about it as it took a total of 30 minutes and the resulting burger is at least good enough for my taste buds. looks like a bit of pepper and fennel seeds go a long way in making a savory turkey burger
