Your watch as a power meter computer?

I don't know nearly enough about this stuff to say for certain what the possibilities are.

But.

Doesn't that device seem like something that could one day be developed to pick up ANT+ transmissions?

Hardware would support ANT, but the firmware doesn't. It looks like it could be adapted for ANT though. https://e2e.ti.com/forums/p/10872/49689.aspx

The garmin 310xt can work with an ant+ device, though I heard there are some transmission issues with wearing it on your left wrist (maybe they have been fixed?)

Its all possible and probably not that hard for most of the major manufacturers out there to integrate it into current products. Might be a popular item with triathletes, but I find devices with larger screens to be more useful, with the PT being about as small of a screen that is still easy to uses.
