Powertap question

Looking to pick up a PM for a young man I'm working with this year. The wired PT's seem to be well in his budget. Only question is the freehub body...is swapping it out an undertaking or fairly straightforward? I can re-dish the wheel if needed.

Thanks.

I bought a wired Shimano Powertap in Dec and swapped the freehub to Campy easily. You just need to make sure you have the appropriate washers. I redished the wheel 20 minutes before leaving for a group ride without any problem. I ordered the recommended special hub grease but didn't get it in time so just used some generic white Lithium grease. Sooner or later I'll re-lube with the correct grease.

I put an American Classic cassette on the Shimano body, works fine with my 10spd Record.

p.s. check TXBRA

Yeah, it's very very easy. I sometimes do that when I don't feel like removing the cassette, but want to clean the DS spokes well. It's easier than removing the cassette...

Yes, pretty easy swap. You do have to change the washers into the right configuration, just like it says in the manual. Trust me on this one.
