Let's go hurt

Tomorrow:

Mentoring a cat 5 crit, then driving over to do a TT and clinic. Drive back to crit to race a 40+ where it's me and my teammate against 85 guys on the same team. Day will end around 6:00 at which point I cook a dinner for 5, then get up the next day and do a 80 somethiing mile P 1/2 RR.

Yeesh.

If it's any consolation, I hurt just standing up from a chair

Enjoy the weekend of pedaling!

I slept on a couch last night and my body hurt so much when I woke up. The sciatica/pain from the herniated disc was terrible. I took a pill and slept on the floor. The floor was much better. I think I'm going to sleep on the floor tonight.

Which vert has the slipped disc. I'm betting L 1-4?

Back injuries are SO fun. I remember the year I ruptured L4/L5 & L5/S1. Some of the worst perpetual pain I'd ever been in. Heal up fast.

Not sure which one it is. I'll have to get the report faxed in from the doc when I get back to the right coast.

Thanks.

Mentor thing went well, fair bit of work helping in that. Won the TT. Ended up in an 8 man break that lapped the field in the crit, when we got back into the peleton the teams with a lot of riders who didn't get in the break were able to shut down anything and stayed in and competed in the sprint. I was cramping anyway and ended up in the last paying spot for 7th, though I'm pretty sure we would have blown several guys off the break towards the end and it didn't hurt some folks to sit in before the sprint. Such is life.

Stayed up too late and had too much wine with friends, legs were lousy today, did 50 miles in the 1/2 before I tossed in a grenade and blew my own legs off.
