Today at the end of my usual Thursday morning ride with my long retired former low-level pro friend we started talking about Big Star. It turns out both of us are big fans from way back when. He trumped me because he has the original vinyl and I only have memories of hearing the original vinyl at houses of friends and also hearing them on occasion on a local radio station where the program manager was also a big fan. They were the greatest group most people have never heard of.

Decided I'm going to surprise my gf by learning this nocturne:
She'll be stoked - it's her favorite, and one of a few that she knew before we started dating. This one was selected as the main theme for "The Secret Garden".

Even though it's a nocturne, it went well with my morning coffee. Thanks!

You're very welcome!
My favorite part is when those left-hand arpeggios turn from minor to major shortly after 1:30.

CF and cycling. Posted elsewhere, I never realized this. After a long day of work this really tugged at me.

Anyone watch "La La Land?". It's cheesy, with cute, catchy melodies dispersed throughout the scenes - which of course means I loved it .
I bought the sheet music online and it's all pretty easy to play, which is nice. Now instead of having "City of Stars" stuck in my head all day, I can play it:
It's pretty, and simple. The left-hand arpeggios that are continuous throughout the "Part A" are hypnotic, and quite pleasant.

Another ICP-MS Thursday, another "Taking you Higher" mix:
The instrument always seems to tune and calibrate quite nicely when I play electronic music.

Lest I fall astray of moderation, I'll to reply to @revchuck here.
A couple months ago I went digging through the used bins for unlikely to be remastered and re-released, or quite likely not recorded again anytime soon, works in high res formats. To my surprise the local libraries ended up being the best source of highly sought after CD recordings and a fair amount of standout dual layer SACD. Turina on Telarc, respective cycles of Gergiev on Mariinsky and Vänskä on BIS, and of course local standouts Dawn Upshaw and Sharon Isbin to name but a few.
I have a strong inkling revchuck's listening is on analog equipment, but I'm going to suggest he seek out a 24-192 version of a favorite album and download a decent player program on his computer. Be that Foobar (free) or a trial from one of the high resolution streaming/download services. Even better yet, hobble into your local high end audio dealer and get an in person demonstration of Quad DSD(256 times the quality of CD storage) vs CD quality recordings.
To that end why don't you dig around this list of free samples that are mostly still active. You'll find a link to free samples at the bottom of that Quad DSD link as well. Seeing as your butt will be firmly planted in a chair you might as well go full on and watch some recordings of live concerts, operas, and plays too.
Finally, BBC is broadcasting almost every Proms concert live in high resolution if you are willing to use the required Firefox browser. If you still need more ideas or source material I can oblige.
Edit: The NDR live broadcast of the Elbphilharmonie opening concert will consume a few otherwise ill spent hours.
