Listening to the new Rush CD...Over and over again! If you are a Rush fan you must get this...Best and most complete work since Moving Picture IMO...

If you aren't a Rsuh fan then you have to respect these guys for still be able to put out fresh energetic music after being together so long...

The last three CDs have been an improvement on the other...

I've been a fan for a long long time and suffered through the lean years before these latest CD's..And actually wondered if it was time for them to pack it in, but now I'm happy they didn't...

Only negative is I'm sure I'll be suffering some hearing loss over the next little while

in a sluggish economy
inflation,recession
hits the land of the free
standing in unemployment lines
blame the government for hard time

we just get by
however we can
we all gotta duck
when the **** hits the fan

10 kids in a cadillac
stand in lines for welfare checks
let's all leach off the state
gee!the money's really great!

soup lines
free loaves of bread
5lb blocks of cheese
bags of groceries
social security
has run out on you and me
we do whatever we can
gotta duck when the **** hits the fan

I like Beach Boys. Great harmonies. I'm so old I rode Itailian lugged steel with first-year Tulio Campagnola designed and first-year supervised 2 x 5 in 1962. I mostly ride Specialized and Cervelo with SRAM Red. Shimano Di2 looks good, but I'm old school. human-powered mechanical shifting.

Country Music is what I like everyday, however I perfer to not hear people sing about their dogs and their trucks when I' am riding my bike on a trainer so I play music that is a little more fitting for what I' am doing, Mumford and Sons, Coldplay, and some smaller folk bands.

It's my favorite version of the standard.

I appreciate his restraint, and open space. It's too easy to be excessive as a competent musician.

Miles was once asked in an interview: "where do you get your inspiration from"
He said: "Ahmad Jamal." I thought it was some kind of joke.

So true. A big part of his (Miles) genius was not playing. He had so much confidence in the people he played with.

Another big part of his genius was playing, but not what you thought he would be playing. And when he did that it was way better than what you thought he would play.

Wish I was ocean size
They cannot move you
No one tries
No one pulls you
Out from your hole
Like a tooth aching a jawbone...

I was made with a heart of stone
To be broken
With one hard blow
I've seen the ocean
Break on the shore
Come together with no harm done...

It ain't easy living...

I want to be
As deep
As the ocean
Mother ocean

Some people tell me
Home is in the sky
In the sky lives a spy
I want to be more like the ocean
No talking
All action...
No talking
All action...

Well.

It appears Pandora radio and the Music Genome Project is trying to tell me something. It keeps playing songs from this album when I'm listening to one of my stations while on the trainer.
