The Battenkill: Who's Going?

Just a few weeks away. 4 guys from my team will be there.

Cold beers afterward!

mike868y 03-25-10 07:30 PM

I'll be there - Juniors 17/18 along with a ton of people from my team - most racing the 30+ 1-4 race

Well, I'll bring some chocolate milk for you then.

Best o' luck!

Myself + 9 guys from my team going. You buying the beers? We're a thirsty group.

BTW, I'll make sure to come introduce myself Saturday at Branchbrook... you'll be there to defend your podium(s) right?

hansel 03-25-10 07:55 PM

ill be there, gonna be a great weekend.

ldesfor1@ithaca 03-26-10 08:47 AM

Cat 3 green: myself and two other Threshold Cycling teammates.

Cat 4 (color?): 12 teammates.

Cat 5: 4 teammates

I'm actually really excited this year for bKill as I'm not prioritizing the race (I've peaked for it the previous 2 seasons) so I'm really gonna enjoy the experience this time a round as opposed to be super stressed about it. That said, my fitness feels just high enough that i'm not scared. Really cant wait for the weekend.

We'll have a cooler full of them, ha!

Reg'd last night. See ya there.

Quite a few guys from this area are headed that way with some PSIMET wheels. Keep your eyes open.

Grumpy McTrumpy 03-26-10 09:32 AM

too much money for a one-day race.

grolby 03-26-10 10:23 AM

After last year, I'm not doing that one again until I find myself coming into April with some actual fitness! Have fun, everyone.

There will be two from my team in Cat 3 Black. We've also got 1 in the 40+, 2 in the 50+, 3 in Cat 4, and 2 in W4 (including my wife).

derrickhackman 03-27-10 06:25 PM

I will be there with a team of 5 3's.

We have a hotel, but it's not very close to the race.

An email went out the other day. They were checking to see who might be interested in camping at the school.

blueturtle241 03-29-10 09:07 AM

ok yea wanted to keep it on the cheap....gas+entry fee+food etc....no cash for a hotel.....has anyone just camped out at the race? will they chase me out of there?

jeeves1984 04-05-10 02:20 PM

I'll be there, with 7 teammates in Cat 3 Black. Has anyone heard anything regarding the conditions of the course? It looks like it will rain throughout the week, which will change things up - but I would be interested to hear from anyone who had pre-ridden recently...

Justleaning 04-05-10 06:30 PM

Last I knew the dirt roads were hardpacked and not too bad. Who knows what will happen between now and then.

mike868y 04-05-10 08:46 PM

Just checked the weather - 48F and raining...yay!

fatallightning 04-05-10 11:43 PM

i may be doing team support for kissena. not positive yet. have some strong teammates coming in strong to this, should be good if luck goes there way.

Saturday: A chance of snow showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
maybe some sprinkles as of now, only a 30% and its stayed at that the past two days. Lets hope there is no rain/snow because the cat 5 field in particular would be a mess.

DocM 04-06-10 05:41 PM

Snow showers? A very sick, twisted part of me thinks snow showers would make this race even more awesome.
