The new position looks much more sustainable. When you ride make note of any rocking of the torso and/or hips, if you're moving fore/aft on the saddle, and where you might be experiencing soreness.

copy that.
I'll do some trainer workouts with the video cam running for upper-body analysis, and some road rides to see how it feels.
I'll be in touch~

+1 to Racer Ex and Quel, I like where you ended up in your new position. BTW, I have bontrager TT seatpost, without setback you're welcome to.

I am not goint to read the responses mostly because I am both lazy and tired. To be that far forward you need to work a LOT on core strength, even if you are already strong. I suggest riding rollers in that position. The flandis looks good with your head low. You are wasting your time with it high. As for the more traditional, flat hand look, you can't necessarily go wrong with that. Hands high is not always aerodynamically better. Test it in the tunnel to be sure. Lastly, I will not say that youa re too far forward on the saddle, but if you want to be that far forward, you have room to move the saddle up, so unless you are holding onto some UCI position, slide the saddle forward on the rails and get a little more saddle under you.
