Solid, lightweight, 1 1/8" fork?

I'm looking for a 1 1/8" straight steerer tube fork for my frame. I want something stiff and reliable first, lightweight (sub 300g?) second, aero third, and will be cost conscious fourth. I don't want to wonder if the fork will hold up when my chin is on the front tire on a 55 mph descent.

I only know Reynolds Ouzo forks. I like them fine. I don't know other forks - Alpha Q, 3ttt, Ritchey, whatever.

My standard "reference" is excel sports but their site (and a few others) seem to have database errors.

I'm being a bit lazy so asking for any experiences, good or bad, with different aftermarket forks.

The Alpha Q forks are great, but they have gotten out of the fork business. An Alpha Q GS-20 would fit the bill nicely if you can find a NOS one somewhere. I ran one for about a year and had no complaints. It was also fairly light (370g).

I am currently running an Easton EC90 SL which I also like a lot. It weighed 367g. It doesn't seem to be very aero, however (not that I could tell the difference between an aero and non-aero fork), although I believe Easton does make a version with aero-blade legs.

If money is the least of your concerns, also take a look at the Edge 1.0 or 2.0. They always seem to get very good reviews with regards to stiffness. The Edge 1.0 also comes in right at or just under 300g.

Good luck.

I liked the Reynolds fork(s), the Easton seemed a bit flexy as did the Oval split blade. 3T stuff is solid.

It seems Reynolds is out of the fork biz too - that was my first stop. I don't want flexy no matter what. I'll check out Edge (ENVE?) and 3T.

i bought an alpha q gs10 on ebay for $99 and free shipping. i think it's ~330 grams.

stiff enough so far but i haven't raced on it yet
light for the price
aero-not really any different from most forks
price super cheap

The EC90 SL fork is pretty sweet. It's not nearly as flexy as the SLX and the screw in top cap vice expansion plug set up is pretty sweet.

one of the euro mags did a write up on all the forks and voted the EDGE 2.0 as the best one out there.
