FL Racers- Webster 3/6
Anybody going?
I'm up in the air. It's a cup race and I want the points, but the thought of inhaling another 15# of dust and dirt, ruining another light colored kit from the crud that won't wash out and dodging the crashes until the field splits for the 4th year in a row isn't getting me excited.
Some people are previewing the course this Sunday at 9:00 however.

I'll be in the 45+ @ 9am
Right now, the Weather Channel has a forecast for a rainy weekend, but of course that can change as we get closer. At least that would take care of the dust-in-the-lungs issue.
I may be announcing and working the event for TopView again, so find me.

I'll be there all day working for TopView from 7am-6pm, as well as racing the 45's @ 9am.
Come by with a beer if so inclined (after my event of course).
BTW - the predicted rain may be less tomorrow, but the wind is still high around these parts, which of course is GOOD

How did it go? The Velobrew boys did some damage up in Albany and had a bunch of fun in the process.. We're looking forward to Sunday's gearlink cup though.

Personally, I had a DNF in the 45+, but felt just fine. In fact I felt like I had winning legs, but just absolutely could not get through the dirt for some odd reason. The washboards were pretty rough in sections and the sugar sand was a little whack in the last mile of the road.
The winds and smaller fields made it pretty brutal on everyone. There is a reason nobody schedules a race the day after. Saying that, I wish we had an autumn edition, because I need some revenge.
Ended up announcing and/or driving wheel vehicles after that.
Don't forget Woodlands the day before Gearlink. I'll be MIA Sat, but hope to make it Sunday.

Jimbo and I were talking about his experiences there this year while hanging out in Albany yesterday. It sounds like he didn't have a very good day either "3 laps off the front, 1 lap with the pack, 3 laps out the back".
