Yeah, I agree. Long term this is best.

But it's so hard to see someone you care about caught up in this cycle of seeing people who are pretty much emotionally abusive and then having them blame themselves only to land with the next person who is exactly the same.

Which is why 'we' could go on, or we'd end everything and I'd have to cut all ties. I can't watch that cycle. That and the fact that if we were friends, I'd be trying to help so she could be 'fine' and we could get back together. That's messed up.

And so it ends.

I'd like to try it but I don't want to end up smashing my pizza on the face of some handlebar-moustached hipster and kick an ironic fixed gear bicycle.

alas the reference to Elizabeth & Newark. The restaurant is inside and has a feel that you are in a mess hall or a canteen. Their own garden is to the left of the building.

Don't worry, if you come, i'll check rude hipsters back to reality, most likely by giving them the cinzano treatment.

btw, i'm still planning on a fall ride to NH, so we may not even have to go to Roberta's

Looks okay inside. And people do rave about the food, but yeah, pretty sure jorge (and I) would last about 30 seconds:

They used to get us up out of bed in the middle of the night at Fort Dix during basic training to do push ups. I need to push myself mentally and physically to be the best mod possible. Then I'll wash all the scum down the sewer.

The writing and editing in that book irritated me to no end. Just horrible for clarity.

well if it ends up being a ride to Roberta's could we issue the cinzano treatment to every hipster on a SS we see along the way? That might make the dining experience tolerable.

it's supposed to rain around NYC today but I don't think it will be the scum washing variety, just some passing showers.

If you need a table, most hipsters will flee at the sight of a can of chain lube.
