Hill Climb Upgrade Points

I'm pretty sure the answer to this question is 'no', but I'd hate to be wrong:

We have a mass start hill climb in another week here, but the race will only last around 20 minutes. Are there any 3->2 upgrade points up for grabs? I'm concentrating on the last few points towards my upgrade and don't want to waste a bunch of time on a race that has nothing to offer.

Thanks!

Mass start hillclimbs are scored like a road race. Hillclimb races are usually too short to qualify under RR rules.

Hillclimbs and TT's don't count. The race must be at least 55min. Lookout isn't.

That said, I wonder if Evans would get scored as a circuit race, since it's closer to 2 hours, longer than a crit would be...

My only win is a Hill Climb. Wish they counted for points.

To qualify for upgrading points, races must meet distance standards. Races shorter than the minimum distance do not qualify for upgrading. However, if a road race is less than the road race minimum but above the criterium minimum, it will count for upgrading using the criterium points schedule.

also, do you have a ton of USAC points or something?

i dont wanna get accused of picking on you again, cuz i have nothing against you, but as far as i can tell you have 8 ACA points and i'm confused about your "last few points" comment.

Evans counted though. I didn't realize this until I was scrolling through the results.

Yes I do. Unfortunately, several of the races don't have official results posted, so I don't know exactly how that is going to work out.

just curious/confused.

glad to hear youre having such a successful first season as a 3. mines been a mixed bag, promising start but derailled by my mid season crash and some bike fit issues.

good luck with the quest to upgrade. i'll keep an eye out for ya.
