Woohooo I won!!

Pumped!!

It was a combined Cat3/4 field Road Race with over 80 riders in Brownstown, PA.

I've just recently upgraded to Cat4 and did so with only 8 races. This was my 2nd race as a 4, 1st RR, and I took all the 3's too!!

Uphill bunch sprint finish. I unleashed it from like 8th wheel. Sat up, and raised my hands.

Good solid finish! Congrats.
Looked like the top 3 had the rest of the field by a bit of distance. 4th place looked to be anyones--they were solid across the pavement.
By the look of it I'd say you timed your sprint very well--#2 didn't look to happy.

Good speed on a hot day.

Nice job and cool picture too. As a climber, my finish-line winning pictures never look so glorious.

LOL I know it looks close, and I got that same remark on Facebook, but I had them. I came sprinting from the back and passing riders until I was neck and neck with the one guy. He eventually blew up while I kept on hammering the pedals and accelerating.

Thanks.

First, Congratulations on a fantastic result.

Second, there are some anal retentive officials that will relegate you for taking both hands off the bar like that.

Agreed! and what I find funny is that about every other month on our local USAC racing site (TXBRA) they post a picture of somebody winning some important race and they always have their hands in the air.
