I always enjoy the Saturday morning ride after Thanksgiving. You get to see which of your teammates have jumped to other teams.

Went to the OCA banquet last night, wife got an award...

There's other cycling disciplines besides road?? Interesting

There are some nutters who like to ride through dirt trails jumping over rocks and stuff....or so I've heard.

Yesterday on the hilly club ride a guy is chatting up a girl, telling her about his riding ability and how well he does on the climbs. I know he's full of bs because he's always back near me late in the ride. Sure enough, she dropped him late and then even I dropped him.
What's the point in claiming to be a good climber while on a climbing ride? It's like bragging about the size of your johnson while wearing lycra.

Damn. Was this a club ride? I don't like it when guys take their hands off the bars in close quarters like that.

yep. And we stopped at plenty of lights where he could have removed layers. Instead this asshat decided to do it turning thru an intersection and ran out of talent. And it cost someone else their femur.

I am having a mid 20s crisis. My life is boring.
I have 5 days off over New Years, where should I go? I'm thinking Santa Rosa? Any suggestions for a place thats warm with decent riding, and a decent LBS to rent a bike from?

Oh and a hostel nearby is a must. I can't afford that hotel crap.

Spent the weekend gutting my cover letter and writing a better one. Lots of good info from family for it.
Have it set up to apply for consulting gigs so going to shoot something out to them tomorrow.

Also going to rewrite the letter for clinical research gigs for tomorrow and then begin the madness that is applying to all the research coordinator/clinical research gigs I can find.

I still like "A Charlie Brown Christmas". Great music. Cyrus Chestnut covered the album...well worth a listen.

New Orleans, if "riding", and "rent a bike" are euphemisms. They have plenty of gutters and alleys to sleep in.
