Brasstown is steep, but very rideable and it's quite long. Nothing like these short 25%+'ers..

Yeah, there's only one section that's really bad at +20% and it's what, 50-75m long? You can definitely settle into a rhythm on that climb, it isn't like hitting a wall or anything (but from my FL perspective it still sucks). The descent is A+ however.

I'll have to find the route for nationals a couple decades ago. 1.8 k climb, 14% average grade and I believe we did it 18 times.

No, I'm thinking Lac Megantic QC...That's where they were last year and the big climb was sick! I pre-rode the course and going up once was enough for me.

That is exactly where it was. Nationals was there in 1991. We thought they were kidding.

Sold the rack without any arguing tonight!

That guy talking about hare scrambles the other day brought back some good memories from my FTR days and made me want to get back into it.

raced FTR tons...a good friend of mine who I use to race (road and off-road) just got back into it. We stopped riding motorbikes back around '08. Scrambles is the one thing I would possibly do again.
edit- pic from an FTR event around '06-

Ebay is getting like Craigslist. I've sold that mower twice and both times the people have flaked.
