Ive also had much more fun on the mtb this year. The more I ride it the more I like it (thats what she said)...and considering Im moving to Co I can see additional mtb's in my corral, and possibly less road riding. However after spending more time on the mtb maybe I'll be re-enthused about the road. We'll see, but Im really enjoying riding off-road.

You can have all the springtime success you want. Just remember (this is being serious) that one of your goals is to get on to a big team. Teams will remember your late season results better than early season results

You get christmas/new years eve off? You can take 2 days before christmas weekend, and 3 days after christmas for 13 days.

I'm burning the 3 days after christmas for 11 days! Having the eves and the day's off paid off good this year!

I'm sort of not really digging the MTB riding I've been doing after buying one a couple months ago. Seems overly dangerous for a roadie just looking for something different. I would enjoy dirt roads with some rocks and lots of climbing. But this whole roots and rocks everywhere, and take a left on a switchback and don't look to your right because you'll fall 100 ft (intermediate trail in GA), really sucks!

A couple people have mentioned MTB racing. I haven't done any (yet), but plan to at some point. The CX races I've been doing are similar. There are 2 things that I like about them. 1. The lunatics on my team 2. I can crash and not be too worse for the wear

Road crashes can get pretty serious in a hurry, and I have to admit that I think too much about them.

I spent my Saturday like that also----and I crashed. Wasn't bad injury wise, but it was bad enough that I never caught back onto the small field. So the race ended up being a time trial type event. still good times.

Take away the megaphone and replace the Luna chicks skin suit with my wife's underwear and heckling pros with singing show tunes to her cats and you'd be pretty close.

I was genuinely interested in the weight of cycling apparel, made a post in Road Cycling, and they moved it to a forum I don't have access to... great...

another reason why not to post in the 41.

i do occasionally contribute to benign threads like "Pictures of your bicycle near water", or "Best places to live (to cycle)"

It helps if you don't troll in that area in the past before making a legitimate thread. Haha.

I assume you mean mass-start legal. Unknown. I am waiting for the Giro Air Attack Shield. I don't know about that one, either.
