I go to the gym in the basement of the skyscraper I work in. It can be considered...."decent." In other words, mostly machines, freeweights, and aerobic equipment. Gets the job done though. Funny though, some of my jersey's from last season I wear used to be loose in the arms. Now they are tight. Guess my arm work is paying off. Only gained a lb or two too, and look much more overall healthy.

I like my gym. It's primarily a rock climbing gym that has a small free/machine weight area downstairs and some stationary bikes/treadmills/stair machines upstairs near the bouldering area. At 65$/mo, it's hard to beat. Most traditional gyms in SF are much more expensive and I don't get to embarrass myself trying to climb things with my, uhh, 'cyclist' upper body.

My gym in my basement...
Use to belong to one years ago, but found as my cycling increased my weight training went down that I was primarily working with lightweights and doing core workouts. Si I saved my membership fees and bought some dumbbells and moved it to the house. Now all I really do is core/pushups and chinups. I'm a roadie and built like a climber so who needs heavy weights

My gym is either my back yard or my hotel room.
When traveling, all I have is me and I can get a pretty good workout in 30-40 minutes. At home I've got a few kettlebells, a pullup bar, a 12# medicine ball and a little bit of space. I've spent about $200 total and I consistently kick my own ass. If I go as long as an hour, I'll be sore for days. I also bought a kettlebell book, a strength training for cyclist book and a body weight exercise book. I use the information from all of them. I might get Danielson's core book. I haven't really given it much of a pah-roos, yet. Honestly, if all you're doing is cycling, I doubt you need much more.

I have a gym in my office which is decent - I'll train arms, shoulders here
Member at a huge chain of gyms...
Member at an ultra hardcore gym - tons of competitive powerlifters and bodybuilders - this is the one the feels most comfortable to be at. Yelling screaming, farting cussing, burping (very fond of this one), etc. chalk everywhere but lots of experienced lifters, professional football players, IFBB pros, etc makes for a very good environment.

Plyo-box. Yep, I built one of those, too. So I'm probably into my 'gym' for $300 total. Not too bad, really, all considered.

Making a kilometer blurry
We had some cookies from a kids tri that were organic gingerbread. We tried those about 1 month after the expiration date, and they tasted like dish soap. Ingredients had no preservatives of any kind. I'm surprised those things last more than a week from the mfgr.

I'm not sure what a vanity exercise is, but I substitute plenty of stuff in and out. I do about 6 of the DVDs from the two series in a regular rotation.

I cracked a pack open. Still crunchy. Still delicious. If they kill me I'll get back to you.

There are a bunch of Youfit $10 deals and LA Fitness took over Lifestyles which runs about $20/month. Gym memberships are cheap here. Thought you guys being members of two gyms was odd until considering I belong to a sporting clays club and an outdoor range.

Well, now, that can happen with foods containing carbon compounds. Best stick to inorganic.

$65? Wow. The YMCA runs $50/mo here and that's high for this area.

'Club' gym - cougars dressed like tramps thinking they are training hard and look good with their little fupa...
Pit gym - hardcore everything including women who will tell you to **** off just as fast as any guy and wear next to nothing while training.....
You pick....
