Around here there are lots of them around dusk. And it's never the first one that gets you, it's #2-3-4-5 that doesn't want to get left behind that tries to get across in the last instant.
Also thought this was good today. You don't get this from most top-level athletes.

Do you ever battle a fear of failure?
That's one of my biggest obstacles. I'm afraid of failure. I want to succeed so bad that I become afraid of failing.

I've always heard to look out for the rest of them once you see one.. but of course forgot that in the moment lol. Luckily they were smarter than me and slowed down/went around me.

My plan is set to warn me at 300gb's a month and I usually average 200-250gb's a month.
Netflix or other streaming websites, shouldn't use that much as the video is usually fairly compressed compared to downloading a full hd file.
Honestly, I wouldn't even worry about it unless you're going over the bandwidth limit. And hope he's not getting the files from junk site like the piratebay or other junk public trackers.

I'd guess bit torrent...probably hd movies. 720p is usually around 4-6gb's per movie, 1080p is around 10-12gb.

The problem is when he was on his own he had an unlimited plan and got use to that. He got that through a third party ISP and my cable company doe not offer unlimited. When can do the third party ISP, but the cost here is a fair bit higher then what his old plan was. He knows he either needs to watch the use, or fork out the dough for a larger plan...
Life was much simpler when we were empty nesters

I've been within 5 feet of deer on a bike probably 3 or 4 times. Riding at dusk around these parts and they'll literally jump out of the woods right in front of me. Luckily never been wacked by one, but getting broadsided by one of them guys hopping across the road would hurt like a mother I'm sure. I actually saw a pair a couple days ago, but they were probably a solid 15 feet off the road and jumped back into the woods when they heard me coming.

Spent $500 at the vet yesterday to find out there seems to be nothing physically wrong with my dog.
Four about the last four months, he has been extremely weak in his hind legs. He can barely get up on his own, and once he is up, he has very little balance. The more he moves, the better he seems to get, but it't not good. Initially, his neurologist - yes, my dog has a neurologist to handle his epilepsy - said that the weakness was ataxia brought on by his anti-seizure medication. It seemed like an odd diagnosis to us because the weakness and inability to stand happened quite suddenly. One day he was fine; the next he wasn't. And after nearly four months of reduced medication, he has not improved.
So we took him to the vet to get him checked out to make sure it wasn't anything orthopedic, such a hip dysplasia. They took a bunch of x-rays of his hips and found nothing. Then they took x-rays of his knees and found nothing. The vet said we could get a CT-scan, but we declined.
He doesn't seem to be in any pain, but he isn't very happy. He seems rather depressed, which makes sense since he can hardly move. It's becoming very frustrating for us.

Do you ever battle a fear of failure?
That's one of my biggest obstacles. I'm afraid of failure. I want to succeed so bad that I become afraid of failing
That quote reminds me of Mike Tyson the day before his professional debut, sobbing in Teddy Atlas' arms, "If I lose then nobody will love me." Teddy assured Mike they would all still love him even if he lost.
Of course later Teddy stuck a gun in Tyson's ear after Mike made some kind of move on Teddy's young niece or cousin.

I know that feeling! We've had a 19 year old living with us this summer. He moves out the first week of December. I cannot wait.

suggestions on best way to get access to a bike while in scottsdale for a week? i gave up bringing my bike because it's too much hassle--unless there was a really good race, at least. i'm on foot these days (i.e. they don't give me a rental car) so just driving to a bike store to rent a bike is easier said than done. same with buying a beater on craigslist. i feel like i've been saying this the last 5 years but i'm half tempted to buy a cheap bike and lock it up at the bike rack and leave it there, but it's not covered at our new building.

Oh yeah, now that you mention it, the hotel has a free shuttle, 5 mile radius, so i'd just need to confirm the shop has a rental before venturing out.

Here in New England, Lyme is taken pretty seriously (at least in people) and everyone is familiar with it now. Not sure how it's handled in other areas of the country.

anyone have insight into an SRM compatible head unit? some places have no questions asked returns so I'd like to 'rent' one while mine is serviced. I'm not clear on what works or doesn't though.

all garmin's will work, but auto zero will be enabled. How long will you be without your pc7? I would say just buy a garmin 500 for the time being, use it for the week or two that you dont have your pc7, then send it back.

you could borrow a garmin from REI for up to a year. I only suggest this because they put me on some watch list after I used their no-questions-asked return policy on a kurt kinetic trainer which was clearly ****ered. I explained everything very concisely, they said OK, I got the new trainer but the next time I shopped there the big-M Manager came out to "talk to me" in front of my wife and the line of people.

yeah, REI is pretty close to here. Might be easier than ordering one from performance.
