I stand corrected then. The Brunelle comment may have something to do with me attending a film festival wheer a film on Wolfpack Hustle was shown during the same screening as Brinelle's stuff . I didnt like the event very much (they were smoking pot in public) and conflated the whole thing as one entity.
/A&S over.

My relationship is a good example of that. I've been out of school for almost 3 years, and my girlfriend still has about a year and a half left. The maturity difference is one thing, and she definitely is more immature. But the biggest thing is that we are in different sections of our life. She has no job, she's living on school loans, thinks school is hard, wakes up at 11am daily, and thinks money appears on trees. I work 10 hour days, saving for retirement, trying to move upward in my career. I'm at the point where I want to settle down, buy a house, and have a family. I really want it to work, but she is years and years from that. So I dunno.

Ok so the Dallas Fair Park Thursday nighter kicked off for the season last night. Big fields in all 3 races. Fast and safe all around, but I and everyone else was clearly feeling pretty keyed-up, nervous, whatever you want to call it. That course is protected from wind (of which there was none anyway) so fields tend to stick together, and, as a weeknighter there are a wide range of skillsets even within the 3-4 or p123 field. Result - a bit of sketchiness. Nothing too bad, most everyone is a regular but, racing happens.
This all by way of context. After the p123 race, rolling around cooling down, I'm eavesdropping on a couple of the "p1" guys chatting about the above topic and one says "yeah what's with guys not following etiquette in the pack" ?
I kind of did a mental full stop ... "etiquette" ... in a race? Sure in a group ride... but what's etiquette in a race? Is it simply "ride safe, no sudden movements" or is there more"?
You guys know I've been racing a while... know my way around a field... what am I missing?

Truth. Plus, this is likely the last time in his life he'll be borking a college girl.

Hard to describe, but I think there's something to it.

wtf is up with his fit? His knees look like this: < | > when he's pedaling.
We started an intra-club race series this morning. 3 formats: elimination, points, and handicap. Two of each format on the first Friday of every month. Overall GC winner will get a trophy and some prizes at our holiday party.
Today was elimination. Super fun, surprisingly smooth (the group training sessions are clearly paying off!), lots of positive feedback and excitement. The finish was too close to call -- thankfully there was a gopro at the finish line. This was about 10m from the finish:

That guy would have fewer back problems if his saddle weren't 5" too low.

does anyone have any suggestions for some core exercises that can be done without putting body weight (/any weight) on the arms?
no crunches, please (i'm basically doing those during every ride).
unfortunately, lost of my go-to exercises that i've been using to help with some back injuries since getting hit by a car are not an option for me at the moment. (e.g., variations on planks)
thanks!
