Ugh, I get annoyed at having to shave my neck every other day (I get tired of the beard and go cleanshaven for 3-4 months every year or 2, but hate shaving more, so it comes back pretty quick), no way I could handle whole body shaving. And some regions would have to be done every day or two.

My company is getting acquired. The walls in our offices are really thin. Pretty sure just heard the new General Counsel, and my current boss planning the elimination of my position.

Yikes- I've overheard that conversation before, Merlin, it's not pleasant. If true, I'm sorry you've heard that way.

First dibs on the 911.... I have $1,000 of my finest dollars ready for it...

In all seriousness I was part of the acquisition/transition team when we purchased a company then once things went through I got the escort out, then 24 hours got the escort back in. Really changed my perspective on employee loyalty etc.

I wish you the best and hope you did not hear what you heard but in today's world you just never know...

I hope you heard wrong. If not, at least you got a little lead time to start looking. I was laid off once and it was a complete surprise.

Do the Kramer/Newman and go with butter. That way you have some handy when waki comes for a visit and decides he wants to reenact Last Tango in Paris.

Sell the 991, buy a 997, save 50 grand. Boom, problem solved.

If you are putting baby oil in those areas then you have a much bigger issue...

Went looking for an image to express my displeasure at this thought. Please do not Google Image Search, "gross."

Thanks everybody. Things are still in flux, so it could work out.

And my severance doubles to a year if I get let go in a change of control, so it could actually be a good thing.

Only ***** is going to be busting my ass for the last 3 months, and the next month to close the deal, and being in limbo.

wow that is total crap - sucks on many levels. Nobody should ever hear anything that way...shame on the GC and your manager, that's pretty negligent. And if you're in a place where it's conceivable for you to overhear ****e like that, well that's not a place you want to be anyway...life is too short.

Sigh...

Went for a short Spring Break (4 days) with wife and daughter to Okaloosa Island, Fort Walton Beach, FL. Beautiful small condo right on the beach. Weather wasn't the greatest but we had a great time and I managed to get sunburned on the last day. Wish we would have stayed the whole week. We all do. My mind is still there. Hard to work. Don't feel like training.

Sigh...
