Making a kilometer blurry
It does indeed have its downsides. Still, I think I've flatted out of fewer than 1/20 of my races. The big benefit of multiple sets would be having aero race wheels, but I'm not going there.

My buddy brought his six-month-old German Shepard puppy to the bike races this past weekend. The minute I walked over, the dog must have sensed I like dogs, because he jumped up on me and we started playing/wrestling. He still had those really sharp puppy teeth and claws.
Anyway, after a few minutes, my buddy's wife comments, "Oh, did he get you?" I looked down, and had blood on my hand. I guess at some point, he scratched me. It was no big deal.
But when I got home, I saw in the mirror that I had a similar scratch on my nose. At the time, I thought nothing of it, but I have since accidentally scratched the scab off twice and made it worse. Now, I have a glob of Neosporin on it, and if I look down even slightly, I can see the ointment/scab. Really frustrating.
Cute puppy though. He was a lot of fun.

To the computer guys in here, I'm curious about firewalls for my laptop running Win8.1. I've got Avast free loaded as my virus software and want to make sure I'm sufficiently covered.
Haven't had to deal with this stuff in a long time since the company machine was fully locked down and frankly I have no clue.

Majorly jet lagged, and about to head to D.C. for G-town's early acceptance GAAP weekend. I may or may not fall asleep in the middle of it
