Holy crap I.T. work sucks. Our lab is disconnected from the main building so they just shipped over 5x48 port preconfigured network switches and asked if I could handle the replacement. It seemed simple enough but I should have said no... what a gross job. The cabinets and wires in the lab service corridor were covered with 8 years of grime and resembled a plate of spaghetti. To top it off the cabinets were full with other research groups switches so I had to work around a ton of other f'ing wires.

Of course I probably screwed up a few connections and will be rewarded with a bunch of complaints tomorrow for my troubles.

Chorus hoods and levers fit nice and the shifting is positive, but the shifting is so stiff it makes my arthritic finger hurt. Also, the parts are stupid expensive and the selection of cassettes is small.

I swear I have a kick me sticker on my back...

Came home to this

Bugger would not move. Same idiot I had a run in this past summer about the fence. Called the cops, but of course they showed up after he left...

After the dust settled I put on my woolies and went for a 2hr bike ride

I always liked the way campy felt…especially the hoods. Ive had 10 spd and 11 spd…Honestly I could never get either of them to shift worth a damn for any length of time.

that said- Ultegra 11 is amazing. Shifting is better than anything Ive ever used, and the latest hoods are really comfortable.

Drunks aren't a night time thing. A friend of mine got nailed two years ago by a very drunk person at 6PM on a sunny day without a cloud in the sky. He nearly lost his leg from the accident.

She actually went to jail, which is unusual. I saw him on Monday in the gym, his wife won't let him ride on the road anymore but he can do stairmaster.

Probably my favorite movie. One of the few movies that managed to detach me from the mechanics of how they made it and got me to just enjoy the storytelling. Very nice entertainment.

I know wrong forum, but I prefer your all's advice.

Buying a MTB, Bike's Driect Ti Fly. Choice is $2000 with X0, or $1800 with X9. Is X0 worth the difference?

Jefferson Cup on Sunday. 50s, rainy, 15 mph winds, and over 80 pre-registered. Should be fun.

Who frickin knew you need an adapter to put an MTB with a thru axle on a fork mounted car rack?

Picked up the bike at lunch, ended up with the X0 because that was the only one in my size. Then realized I couldn't get it home. Could swap out to the wife's car, but that would highlight the purchase.

So across town to another shop to pick up the adapter.

I bought an entirely new wheelset for my mtb, based on the 15mm fork/axle it stated in the online specs....got the wheelset and realized I have 20mm axle in the front.

Axe just fell at work. New owners canned 6 out of 10 of our Executive officers. Forutnately ( or not depending on how you look at it) the law department took no casualities. So I continue to muddle through.
