Replace the grass with something low maintenance.

If you go around the filter the admins whine. When the admins whine they bother me. When they bother me I have to give out infractions. Yeah, it seems dumb perhaps but they don't like it. And I really have other things to do than clean up and write people about silly **** like that. So just don't do it. Don't direct link NSFW stuff, and don't go around the censor. That gives us a lot of latitude here to just carry on as we want.

I mow in my work boots (steel toed), and I'd recommend that along with safety glasses if you're not already wearing them. One of my friends lost his toes on one foot when pulling the mower back and stumbled on some uneven ground, rolling the mower over his soon-to-be up-pointing foot. The dude is an MMA badass, and very fit and agile. You just never know, plus you're not going to roll an ankle in a good boot.

When I bought my first house, I went cheap and bought a regular push mower. A couple years ago, I got tired of pushing the mower (also I had tweaked my back at the time and struggled to push it), and dropped $400 on a self-propelled Honda. It was well worth the money.

I just wish I had gone self-propelled from the get-go.

Yeah. That beach there is actually Okaloosa Island (Fort Walton Beach). But yeah only a few miles away from Destin. Really enjoyed it there!

I have a n-gear jump stop, but I still managed to drop my chain on the inside last weekend (I think my derailleur hanger is bent and I need to re-align). Chain landed on my jump stop rather than the BB, so there were less scratches, but it still came off. Maybe I don't have it set up quite right, or maybe it wasn't made to handle the drop from the 42 to a 30 on my triple (yup, I'm a weakling with a triple and had just shifted in to the granny gear of shame).

long range forecast is calling for rain easter weekend, so now thinking again about racing in winston-salem on Friday and the sunny side of that front. be a pain in the ass to drag race stuff down in addition to all my other stuff, but to race in a town where they don't know your name is a perk.

promoter hasn't been particularly helpful in identifying where the course actually is though. It seems to be enshrouded in mystery and unclickable links. He actually sent me a couple of blank jpegs to help me find. Any insight? Maybe they don't want Jersey taking their prize money.

I'm leaning towards a Honda

I could see that happening. You and my wife would get along. She's a Safety Inspector and rants all the time about wearing the proper equipment.

That's part of the plan. We don't want to cover the whole yard but definitely the steep areas. We just keep putting it off.
