It's faster to glue a tire than the time it takes to go to a shop.

If you're paranoid about it, then you should learn to do it yourself.

I never said I don't know how to do it. My last few tubulars have been mounted by me.
Anyway ordered Corsa Evo SC II. I don't know if it was a typo or what. When I selected 23mm on amazon that is what popped up, when I selected 21mm the Corsa Evo SC showed up in my shopping cart.
Vittoria website is useless. Doesn't even list what sizes tires come in, and if it has removable core or not.

Apparently huge crash in Stage 1 of Gila yesterday that took out 75% of the field during a descent at 45ish mph. Heard through the rumor mill that some guys were airlifted out.

they're so good you'll want to wear them for more than just races and will likely get far more use out of them.
my sad news is that i got hit by a car riding one and just crashed out on another.

x2.
it's not rocket science. these days, most shops don't really know how to do a good job that is both fast and safe. tubulars have become much more of a speciality. therefore, after watching a few videos about it and doing it once or twice you are reasonably likely to be able to do as good of a job as your shop and you are 100% likely to care far, far more about the quality of the glue job than whatever minimum-wage shop guy happened to get tasked with gluing your tires.
sometimes being new at a thing means one will do it with far more care. i wouldn't want to build a rocket and then test myself in it, but gluing a tubular is essentially an arts & crafts project. it's glue. you screw it up by going too fast with it, whereas most newbies take their time.
of course, there are still some shops that employ tubular gurus and you might live in one of those locales, but it is rare. i've seen far too many glue jobs from shops that are half-assed.
