Heal up, you've got a new kit you need to use this year.

The last time I checked, several years ago, the only framesets Cannondale offered were high-end carbon. It may have changed since then.

Specialized offers the better grade Allez frameset, but it's out of stock until August (I work at a Specialized shop). Jamis offers the Icon as a frameset, but I have no idea as to availability.

All sizes of the allez are out of stock? Dammit, that's what I feared. I would totally wait until a caad or allez frame popped up on eBay but I kind of need a bike to ride.

the Jamis is on my list as well, as is the van dessel hellafaster. Once I find out for sure if I'm getting a warranty frame (which I'm going to sell) I'll start hitting up various dealers to see what they've got available. Any other brands I should add to my list (Alu race frameset). Alternatively I could get a cross bike now and wait until the allez is back in stock...

If you know any of the ShoAir guys or other Cannondale sponsored racers, its possible to get a CAAD frame. However, they don't sell them individually.

Mikey, you thought of giving spooky a try?

Or even a BD frame till you get stuff together or find the frame you want. I dunno.

There are other brands id go for before spooky at this point (especially considering you can just order direct from frank the welder who makes them...), but the wait time is really the reason I haven't considered them. I just want to make sure my frame is getting warrantied (will find out tomorrow) before I make any decisions.

This is not true unless it changed for 2014

You can buy a CAAD frame set by itself, but you need to do it through a dealer, not cannon dale directly.

Not sure what colors they offer. In the past the black/white one was available.

Good to know, a change from when I tried to do it.

Is there some rule that fixie riders are not allowed to use bottle cages? I ran into a group of them today and not a single one had bottle cages. Most were using their jersey pockets to hold water bottles.

He's been lagging behind on basically all the of the previous stages so that he can go after the polka dots and stages without being chased down would be my guess.

Trofimov seems to be up with the leader in most instances so who knows, Katusha gonna Katush

That's what Sherwen said yesterday. He can't win so he's doing the polka. He was attacking out of the chase group taking the points.

This was my experience as well when I bought a Caad 9 frame a few years go.

And the wait times on Spooky bikes are super long. I have a few friends who ordered some. It took about six months for three of the frames to arrive and nearly a year for the fourth one.

and next year, it's gonna be the exact same (only 2x bibs/jersey, this year there was a long boring reason i ended up with 3, but it's not really needed).
Our team has a pretty good approach to this. All the peripherals (arm warmers, leg warmers, vest, skin suit, booties, winter knicker bibs) have just the team name, no sponsors, and colors and pattern that match the kit.

Then we don't change the basic colors and layout of the kit for several years. Thus, you only need to buy accessories once. And last year's bibs will work with this year's jersey. The sponsorship on the bibs will change a little from year to year, but as long as your racing in this year's jersey, the team doesn't make you have this year's bibs.

We've also added the option of bibs with just the team name, no sponsors.

So once you've got outfitted, you only have to buy a jersey or two each year, and bibs every couple of years.
