Yeah it's been somewhat warm'ish but this summer was way way way way cold. It took until about May till I could take off leg warmers(wtfmang). I used chemical warmers pretty well into the early season.

42 degrees is so far below freezing I probably couldn't get up in the morning. It's gonna get that cold in a few months here. Then a 2 hour ride might barely warm me up.

I really struggle in temps like that. If it is below 70 I wear and undershirt and arm warmers.

Without question. I've never enjoyed riding in the cold. I love it when it is crazy hot, friends used to call me the Spaniard as I really ride well when it is hot. As the temperature dips it hurts me (always has) so I just wear more clothes. WHen friends of mine are wearing long sleeve jerseys and booties I will be in full winter gear. I just don't like it.

Pretty sure I never rode below 60 in my life until I moved to the mid-west. Then I had to suck it up, started riding in the 50s, then 40s then 30's then a few days in the 20s. If you're motivated, its not very hard, but once it warms up and you get used to some semblance of warmth, thinking about riding in the 30's is just demoralizing. My first race of the season

There were a few days this summer where I went out on long rides in the AM where the temps were in the high 30's. Yes, summer...lol.

This was the first race of the season, April 20th, pretty sure there was snow on that day too:

my coldest ride all year was a race in March. 33f at the start. I forgot my warmers.

morning commutes in the winter here are mid 30s-40s and when you ride at 60-80f 90% of the year, 35f feels like -100 and I'm from MN where -100 was typical!

I moved from MN then Chicago to CA. It took me a year before short-sleeve (like 45 and sunny) Midwest weather became knit-cap and jacket weather.

It's all relative.

Pyramid intervals today. I was able to hit my power numbers and my legs felt pretty good. Form returning... in time for the offseason :|

It was colder than I thought it was going to be - frost on the grass.

I commuted 100 miles / week at Arizona State. 92 isn't bad at all.

I think that's the tough thing about where I live (Phoenix area): When you tough out a summer when your rides are always in the 90's to over 100 degrees...it makes the 30's seem realllly cold! Last "winter" was the first time that I rode outdoors all winter long. I plan to embrace the same HTFU attitude this winter as I hate the trainer!
I could do without this crazy wind though...been windy for a couple of weeks now! :-(

7.5 mile commute - aerobic, maybe 190ish watts. A few 130 rpm spins down the overpasses.
12 mile commute - aerobic
6 miles home - way easy. 14 mph.

Already getting upset that I can't ride this weekend due to being out of town. Next weekend I may try to get in a ginormous all day ride. See places I've never seen and all that.

It was raining out here so trainer time.

Pretty sure I haven't ridden in anything under 50 degrees. Since many of my summer rides are 100+, 75 feels pretty cold.
