This morning was the coldest ride for me so far this fall. Low 52, high 61, according to the Garmin. That's pretty brisk at 90% humidity, especially when you're used to mid-70s at sunrise. It was a recovery ride, so I get to wear the base layer and jersey again before I toss them in the hamper.

A little over 2 hours before work this morning. Beautiful day outside, it was nice to soak up some sunshine and pollen.

SPent the whole night moving stuff down the stairs and packing clothes for the move. TSS = infinity cause it was boring :/

I am wondering if I should clean my bikes before the trip haha.

Some Rain and (surprise!) wind here in Phx...but rode anyways. Very fun group ride and well worth getting the bike dirty!

tried riding on my trainer just for old times sake. realized once again how anti-fun riding on a trainer or rollers can be. tolerated 30 minutes before quitting and going for a hamburger

Looking fwd to 5hr z2 tomorrow. Gonna ride up to my parent's house in N County and back. Will stop long enough to get some food, fill up the bottles and pet the dog.

This should be good.

Have really struggled to get back into it since I broke my back/collar bone 30 months ago but I have since found my niche. Track.

Training has started in earnest, I have a world class velodrome not too far away and a fantastic outdoor one close by with a great summer track league. One of the coaches is a current world masters sprint champion. He said I had a good turn of speed in the training sessions and has got me aiming for the sprint events next year armed with a training plan and gym membership

What's even better is that my 9yo daughter has caught the bug too!

Tonight was a VO2 max session using a custom trainer road workout I made. 6 x 4 mins at 110%FTP. Going well!

Back on the bike after a rest and recovery period. It gets dark early out here. Just after the sun set a six foot bear ran across the road right in front of me. Luckily he didn't give a crap about some skinny cyclist.

Awesome, Alex. My 9-yr old is doing his first juniors CX race in the morning. It's a great time to be a dad.

I wonder how fast bears can run?

edit: According to bear.org: "lean (black) bears can exceed 30mph", so that should be a fun, livable experience. let's go play frogger w bears!

First long ride in a while. I felt really good for the majority of the ride, then at around 3.5 hours in i started to get tired. Not really that surprising considering how i haven't spent more than 2 hours on a bike in over two weeks. 3080 kjs and 150 tss.

He was moving. Definitely faster than I could run. By the time I calmed down enough to reach for my phone he was gone.
