2hr group ride. Not in the plan, but fun.

edit: I felt like a monster - granted this isn't the most competitive group ride in Houston, but I felt like the other riders were my pawns to play with. Either they're really weak, or training is going well.

Did a 5' interval in the big gear last night during my ride to remind my body what pain feels like. Tonight I will do a 10' interval. Next week it gets serious.

God I'm weak.

Happened to my dad, a bird hit his chest and he lifted his arm to let it fly away but it stayed there for a good 10 seconds

today i trained for 3 hrs. T and W were also 3 hr ride days.

last night i felt kinda stiff and sore, knee was slightly twingy. i was fully prepared to bail 30 min into it if I wasn't feeling good.
the opposite happened and I kicked ass.

now to rest up tmrrw and ready to knock out an 8 hr weekend to cap off this week/block and get drunk as hell w friends at superbowl party. at this rate I don't expect to feel really worn out until my Sunday ride.

Bird strike!

When I was a kid, we had a pheasant come threw the windshield. Never on a bike though.

Tu did 2x20, yesterday did 20 @ 100.
Was thinking I would be sore today and take it easy, but feeling pretty good. Legs feel pretty normal.

Now I'm wondering if I should do another 2x20 today, or if I should take it easy like I planned originally...

Stick to the plan. It's still January.

Only 80 minutes today, I finished my route a few minutes earlier than I planned. 1x 10' interval in the middle of it to put some hurt in my legs and remind me what suffering is about.

Finished January with 60 hours on the bike.

very nice Kensuf!!!

2x20s on the TT bike for me. Moved the saddle back and viola! all my fit fell into place. Felt VERY good. This is really close to my original fit before I jacked it all up. A little higher and a little more stretched I think, but still good.

1st 20: 25.5 mph
2nd 20: 24.9 mph

so doing better here. Still no aero equipment. I've been ballparking 1.0-1.25 mph guesstimate for wheels/skinsuit/helmet. puts me in the 26-27ish range. I'll need better than that to take any of these stage races.
