i had four days worth of chipotle intervals..... Does that count for anything?
1.5hrs REALLY slow today. Worked out some of the kinks in the legs from yesterdays long ride.
Now, I'm feeling prepared for my 18hr week coming up.
1:50 on the trainer yesterday, 24 miles outside today, froze!
About 7 hours skiing in some of the best conditions I have seen in years. Wiped.
I fell behind on training this week but sort of caught up tonight completing my 2x20, I felt good. Mentally though, I think I might be going insane, this is like 5 months indoors with the exception of one weekend in January. Not whining, just simply thinking aloud . And I also just learned that Feb'r'uary is spelled like that.

Ugh. Map tested today, missed goal by 30W, coming in at 375W. I'm going backwards for some reason. I used to see MAP matching 5' power, usually w/in a couple watts. Not sure what to make of it, other than I'm going to have to race smarter this season, and that doesn't bode well for me...
I feel dumb asking, but what is MAP testing?
So many acronyms, so little time.
My best ever MAP (peak minute) was 500W. Now I'm down below 400 (was expecting 405)... Cue "Glory Days" by the boss
WR, what percentage of MAPP do you usually correlate to FTP? Me forgets.
The range is 73-76%, if I remember correctly. Mine usually correlates to ~74%.
Recovery week for me. Really gonna make this one count.
Gonna take today and tomorrow off due to weahter. Means back to back intervals Wed/Thurs. Build 2 week 1 is here folks! Gonna focus VO2 this week.
I'm sure when you were getting to the point of blowing nothing was obvious but making the pain stop...I don't know about you but after the fact I always look back at those moments and think 'why didn't I just keep going' but at the time there wasn't enough oxygen on the planet to make me take one more pedal stroke.
Recovery ride/commute this morning. Kept it in the little ring and watched the power. This is a first for me. I am really trying to avoid the trap of not going easy enough on easy days.

Achieved a goal I've been working towards for two years today!
There's a 70km/43.5mi segment of a longer ride that I do regularly that has 2275ft climbing.
I use it as a benchmark once a month, since it has a great mix of rollers, flats and a couple tough climbs.
Two years ago my times were in the 2'15"+ area. The goal has always been 2hrs even.
Today I managed 1'59"44"!!! Average of about 35kmh/21.75mph. Really happy with the effort, looks like base/build is going better than I had even hoped for.
55 minutes real easy...Just getting the circulation going.
