2 cold MTB night rides & 1 colder CX night ride so far this week. 2 CX races this weekend w/ temps in the low 60's (read nice). Gonna be a long winter.

Do it, it's fun. The pace seems high so far from what I can tell, but I'm not sure who is pushing it. I don't know if Emile is back to 100% from his illness, but there's always Andy Laughter to put the hurt on. Sitting in is generally fairly sedate. Just don't rotate to the front on 29.

Rode 1.5 hours yesterday. Starting to feel like a cyclist again.

I've been on the rollers all week. I got a new video that plays this during the cool down. Lots of fun.

miwoodar 11-30-12 11:42 AM

Ding ding ding. :)

Fat Boy 11-30-12 04:31 PM

It's raining, so I did a strength workout. Yowza, I'm cooked.

johnybutts 11-30-12 05:09 PM

50' and 10 miles on my new mountain bike. I've got some fine-tuning to do with it.

billh92109 11-30-12 07:30 PM

silly tired - still doing spinervals weekdays (base stuff) - did something today I have been threatening to do for a WHILE.... Went to Fiesta Island and cranked out 100 miles of laps in 5:27. It just had to be done. Most boring century possible? Maybe. STarted to rain on mile 97...

kindablue 11-30-12 09:25 PM

Monday 5:20 enduro ride, tuesday rest, wed gym (high bar back squat, bench, deadlift, leg press), thurs yoga, friday gym (font squat, pendaly rows - which my form sucks at, romanian dead lift, box jumps).
And I commuted most of the week (only about 8 mi round trip).
I feel lazy, but not bad for the last week of prep...

robabeatle 12-01-12 07:04 AM

Still a little head cold. Gonna go out with a teammate in a few minutes for an easy ride of several hours duration unless I start to feel worse on the ride.

Virten 12-01-12 11:43 AM

Easy one hr rides yesterday and today. Endurance ride tomorrow 70 miles.

zitter 12-01-12 04:36 PM

108 miles, 6000+ ft of climbing, i'm toast

also got my cat 3 upgrade approved the other day

jsutkeepspining 12-01-12 04:56 PM

**** this intensive **** is hard! Might get a nice set of low cadence z4 intervals in tonight, but i wouldn't bank on it tbh.

rbart4506 12-01-12 05:11 PM

First 4x10s on the trainer of winter....Many more of these ahead for me, ugh!

johnybutts 12-01-12 05:16 PM

about 2 hrs on the mtb. including 50 minutes of cyclocross race. Hardest thing I've done in a long long while. 5th of probably 40 racers. cat4

mattm 12-01-12 08:49 PM

Team ride today, it was good. Won a short hill sprint, lost a climb, good times.

caloso 12-02-12 01:39 AM

2:48 on the FG. 160tss. Just spinning along.

jsutkeepspining 12-02-12 09:17 AM

i had zci yesterday because i had about an hour from 9-10last night. That **** hurts. .9 intensity factor for an hour with the intenstiy factor for the whole 36 minutes of intervals+rest being at ftp.

Have four century races signed up for already next year - gotta make sure I can do it :) - stagecoach, MLBC, Montezul, Dirty Devil... All I gotta do now is keep power and lose weight so I survive the climbing in the last three...

TMonk 12-02-12 10:33 AM

I meant why do the whole thing on fiesta island.

one doesn't have to ride x miles in training in order to do well in a race of x miles. you already know you can ride 100 miles, so there's little need to prove it. if you train with some intensity over shorter durations that may actually make you faster, sooner.

is a "century race" an actual race or do you mean a timed ride?

zitter 12-02-12 03:25 PM

70 miles with some teammates today, lots of fun climbing

johnybutts 12-02-12 03:34 PM

another cx race. 90F out.

Went over teh handlebars on the first lap. clawed back into 2nd by the last lap. flatted. whatevs
