good luck to you and all others rcing B'kill
The wind wasn't as bad as I thought it would be last night. 35mi, 2800 ft of steeep hills. So many steep hills. ~10x1-2', 3x5' intervals. Legs were pretty shot by end of it. Fitness is on the rise, legs are feeling better by the week. I'm getting excited for Sea Otter.
At some point, a bit more structure will probably be good, but I haven't gotten there, yet. I hear Sea Otter brings out some heavy hitters, even in the 4's. Lots of upper-cat MTB guys who started road this season and got out the of the 5s quickly.
Cold and windy yesterday so I was a wuss and hit the trails on the MTB. 2.75 hours with 4 hill repeats up an 800ft gravel road climb - hard!
Tuesday worlds tonight.
Just race, man, and the rest of it will come.

This was my first day riding after my work trip. When I'm off the bike for a week, the first ride is always suspect. Sometimes I feel fresh, but more often I'm just flat as a fart. Since I only have a week until the next trip, I've decided to do a short "push" on the ftp. Today I did 60 straight minutes of 90% ftp, so a nice dose of SST. I actually felt good and had some legs. *like*
Finally got out and rode for what felt like forever off the bike. Went out and rode in the pounding rain with my dad for 2 hours. It was so cold that for the last 20km or so our feet would hurt just to push down on the pedals..it was nice to get out though. Got in 5x5' at a pretty hard pace and finished off the ride at a bit of a lower pace, just starting to feel the aftermath pain now, it'll be fun waking up tomorrow morning and running for gym class
"You lack motivation because cycling is a stupid sport with no upside that takes way too much time out of your life to be mediocre at." - Racer Ex
Had issues keeping a steady power output while trying do 3' intervals in a 25mph wind. Averages were okay, but I was all over the place.
