Went back and looked at my trainingpeaks file. I used the 60min peak as my new FTP. (It was only 34w off. :rollseyes Deleted the file then re-uploaded it. Much more reasonable now. 338tss/1.07IF Still huge for me, but now more realistic.
I appreciate the honest feedback. That's one of the things that makes the 33 great. :grouphug:

yeah i think you should just go do the test. it will take u all of an hour, and you have an actual number. i could believe 1.0-1.02 for an hour (if it was just a super jumpy crit), but 1.07 for 3 hours is way to high

Legs were lively last Sunday, but not today. I put in 30 minutes of SST after a 15 minute warm up. That 30 minutes had a RPE at least as high a the second 20 of a 2x20. I really had to work to put it in. After that, I finished the morning with an hour of endurance paced spinning. That finishes off a really strong 3 week block for me. Rest is now my friend.

1 hour recovery spin #3 @ 101 rpm with big ring 100+ rpm efforts every 10 min. It was postponed from Friday because I was wayy to tired and busy, my hams are busted up from putting in new wood floor yesterday! Recovery week over now though. Time to train hard for the first race of the season in 33 days.. I'm crazy nervous already!

Yesterday's ride was close to 6 hours, 360 bikescore/TSS. Little ring all the way. Not necessarily the best training for that first training series crit coming up on Sunday - but at least I'll be motivated to take things easy for the rest of the week leading up to it.

Fam in town last week, ate a bunch and didn't train much, got fat (163 lbs!).
I trained today. Not racing this weekend so I can actually get some hours in.

Day off today, so I slammed my stem and swapped out my handlebars.
I had been feeling pretty cramped lately. I love the 3T Ergonova I've been riding for the last year and a half, but decided to try going back to the Rotundo that I used on my old bike. So now I've gone from 77mm reach bars to 83mm reach bars, 123mm drop to 139mm, and I just removed the last 5mm spacer between the stem and headset top race. It might be a bit of an extreme change, but my "recovery ride" today was tooling around with the new setup to see how it feels, checking out my position in store windows, doing some form sprints. I'll need to do longer rides to see effects on comfort, long-term power, but it feels pretty similar to the old position so far. Seems likely to be a large improvement for sprinting. My head is lower, and it feels like a better position to put out sprint power - that's where I've been feeling especially cramped. I'll miss the flat tops position of the Ergonova, but not the 80 grams of extra weight. I'm hoping this does good things for my fit. I'll give it a week and see how I feel.

Making a kilometer blurry
Hit a 4.5 mile hilly section really hard at lunch. Windy as hell. Legs roasted.
