Another 3hrs of endurance fighting some nasty wind! Threw in 30min of tempo and a couple harder efforts at the end to liven things up
Good week of training!

Though the wind has shifted and shooed away the bubonic March weather in favor of a positively bucolic April, it is time to taper and relax. Battenkill is not a true priority race, but I dig chocolate milk, and thus a podium finish would be nifty. Having spent most of the spring racing in the 1/2/3s and holding my own, my real goal is to just get familiar with the rhythm of the 3's again and build towards Dragons and Killington. But still, I really, really like chocolate milk and free things.

Some may call it race, some others fun ride and for some it was just a training ride. Whatever it was, it probably was my hardest ride ever at 530 TSS. Good training never-the-less

BTW the first 22 miles were neutral and we were just rolling easy, later around five hours into the ride I had some issues with flats etc and was rolling just easy tempo again.
Hard ride for sure. This was the reward

leave it up to rkwaki...
50 km/h winds with gusts to like 60 or 80(?)..........that's when it just get's dangerous for me, I honestly am scared that when I do that I'll get blown into the middle of the road at the wrong time.
I had a terrible weekend, only a 2:20 ride Saturday out of 7 planned...life is just so annoying sometimes...but sometimes it's annoying, yet awesome at the same time like today, just got back from the LBS and bought a new set of Shimano RS80 C50's <333. I just want to go look at my bike right now. I'll take a pic when it get's sunny and warm and after I wash my bike

Same. Wind was so bad last night that a car got smashed by a falling tree down the block from me. They closed down sections of the Great Highway, too. I have to ride in this crap tonight. Gale warnings until 9pm :|

My current FTP is set at 295W. Well, based on my last 20min test at 319W it should be set even lower but again, I suck at those FTP tests so perhaps my FTP is slightly higher

Windy out here in the desert as well. My commute home was ridiculous at times; I was almost blown into the road with the gusts. Really glad for that memo on using the drops.

I was riding down a state road last week. A car was coming the other way in the opposite lane and passes me. Right after it passed I hear this BOOM like an explosion. Freaked me right out. I hit the brakes, pull over, and look back. That car was hit by a huge 8"-12" hickory branch widowmaker. Blew out all of the glass in her car and caved in the passenger side of her roof. She was freaked out but fine. I checked to make sure she had cell service, was not hit on the head, and had no medical issues. By that time a few cars had pulled over. We moved the large branches off to the side, and I went on my way.

Today was my first day back home from a trip and my 'strength' day. Hard to find motivation, but whatever. Did my 45 minute workout and now I can barely walk. Funny, that.
Hopefully it won't be quite so windy tomorrow and I can get a decent ride in without killing myself.

Put in a really strong low cadence higher watts ride on Sunday despite the collarbone fracture and even got a KOM. I cannot stand and climb so well and wound up paying the piper later for the effort. This ****ing hurts and I need to give it a little break (no pun intended). Hard to tell my Wife that I need to go ride when I cannot even tie my shoes without suffering.
Tonight I will put on the sling and hit the spin bike.

3hr endurance last night. Last little bit of volume before Battenkill. Fitness is absolutely superb right now, and form is on the rise. I'll definitely have the legs Saturday, just hope to have the mind and the luck!
