Did the climbs a touch faster then I've done them all season. Legs feel pretty cooked right now so I'll see how they feel on Saturday. Might just do an easy ride that day with minimal efforts, race is Sunday...It's going to be a tough one!
Exactly what I was going to say..

My left hamstring has been pulled since Saturday, it was just starting to heal yesterday but I went on the Thursday hammer fest anyway because I'm an idiot. Good ride though, lasted an hour and some change, huge improvement for me as I was also taking pulls and had to close a few gaps that others couldn't. Good signs before the race. Got dropped on a gravel road, tried one last time to catch up but decided to try and save my legs so that they can be nice and recovered for Sunday. It has been an absolutely terrible week for my legs, everyday it feels like I just finished sprint intervals in my sleep.

Nothing today, openers on Saturday, then race on Sunday. Hopefully I don't get dropped on the 3km hill... this should be fun.

I can't believe i missed a chance to joke around about how old everyone is and how young (and beautiful, and perfect, and basically god-like) i am.

Anyway, I was going to ride today, but I took my family out ot lunch (my sister is in town for a couple of days), and i'm taking my girlfriend out to dinner in town tonight. should be a lot of fun. I like this type of training more than regular bike training.

Temporary Bachelor Lifestyle(R) - hill repeats on a Saturday evening.... ahhhh, an idyllic lifestyle

90" VO2 max up a steep-ish hill, 30" sprint w/ focus on staying low/powerful
3' downhill/easy
Continue to failure - (I was quite successful at this part)

Lame part of a new power test and new zones? everything hurts more now.
Sprints felt fantastic, VO2 felt like I'd just bumped my zones up - so, accurate all around.
Legs felt like rubber chickens, probably looked about as good.

After a month of really not touching a bike at all, did the 1/2/3 race at Hunter and lasted ~52 of the 78 miles, dropped during some hard crap on flat roads. Felt completely chill on climbs, but all the attacks on the flats eventually wore me out, which makes sense considering I hadn't ridden more than a few days since Keith Berger. I predict many an interval session til the end of the season.

Ran today. Running is fine exercise but it doesn't compare to riding. I miss my bike.

5 hour century with insane amounts of hammering with some teammates and some cat2 friends. At mile 80 my leg cramped and my body practically just died. One of the super super fast dudes dropped back and helped pull me back to the group a couple of times(still doing 300W+ but better than 450W+)

TSS of 400 for the day, TSS of 900 for the week.

As I hit 103 miles I just pulled in and died.

was in Hawaii so not a normal training schedule for me, but still built a nice week out of it. Now just to shed the 5lbs of water/salt/fat/mercury weight I gained.

2 hours today with a group. Mainly just some fun riding, but did a hard 1 minute test at the very end to see where my legs stand. 9.7 w/kg, not terrible, but far away from what i was doing earlier in the season before my motivation caved in completely.
