I think I saw you coming up as I was riding down stuck behind cars (damn Canadians). I was going to do another ride up but I came from Scottsdale and it was a longer ride out than I thought. Its a good effort though, I'll have to go back on fresher legs.

3 hours on the rollers. 2 hours high z2 and 2*20min in the last hour. I'm really liking doing intervals at the end of a workout. I think it'll help a lot with feeling strong at the end of a road race.

Haha. Don't worry, the TT bike will go back to gathering dust after next week! I promise I won't throw that word around here anymore. My bad!

I was too baked to finish my planned workout this evening, so I aborted and poured myself a scotch.

Day 5 post crash recovery, still on the couch, but improving. Will likely jump on the trainer this weekend.

2hrs tonight, 30min Tempo followed by 4x2min Power Intervals... The PIs sucked! Only hit the target wattage on one. I was done! That's ok, training has been going real well and I needed this reminder that there's work still to be done.

VO2max intervals on the computrainer in ergo mode is probably the highest quality training I've ever done. You don't need to think, see straight, or pace... just pedal 'til you damn near die.

"Trainer" isn't usually in my vocab.. it's all new to me, fill me in!

Fwiw this was maybe 105% FTP at most, nothing special. (even though it hurt like a mofo, and I couldn't imagine doing more than 2.. only got about a minute into the 3rd one and said f-ed that.

Do you guys change front chainrings in Crits or just leave it in the middle or large one? Mine doesn't shift that smoothly going from middle to large so I'm thinking in the Crits coming up I'll leave it in the other. But I don't know how fast I can go in my middle chainring. 30mph all out?

It's rare you'd need anything but a big ring for a crit.

Sorry y'all. Trainers aren't my thing. If I get on one, it's a victory. Anything more than tempo is asking too much.

42x11? That's plenty of gear to go 30mph. But I'd still use the big ring if possible.

I'm pretty burnt out on trainers since the 2012 pre-season. I needed to be home ASAP after work so I did one (or ten) too many 2x20 sessions on them. gah

gstein probably thinks im a ***** right now.
