Day off work so I went to South Mountain to ride around. Went up and down a few times. I'm bummed that my Garmin messed up on the first climb, I used my wrist watch too and it was by no means a PR but definitely the fastest I've gone up the full climb in a while. Garmin is off by a few minutes because I stopped to help a guy who just happened to be blowing his Co2 into the air as I rode by, I backtracked to give him a Co2 and show him that it's best to put the Co2 attachment onto the stem before inflating, LOL.

3 hours on the rollers. 2 hours high z2 and 2*20min in the last hour. I'm really liking doing intervals at the end of a workout. I think it'll help a lot with feeling strong at the end of a road race.

2hrs tonight, 30min Tempo followed by 4x2min Power Intervals... The PIs sucked! Only hit the target wattage on one. I was done! That's ok, training has been going real well and I needed this reminder that there's work still to be done.

"Trainer" isn't usually in my vocab.. it's all new to me, fill me in!
Fwiw this was maybe 105% FTP at most, nothing special. (even though it hurt like a mofo, and I couldn't imagine doing more than 2.. only got about a minute into the 3rd one and said f-ed that.

Do you guys change front chainrings in Crits or just leave it in the middle or large one? Mine doesn't shift that smoothly going from middle to large so I'm thinking in the Crits coming up I'll leave it in the other. But I don't know how fast I can go in my middle chainring. 30mph all out?

Sorry y'all. Trainers aren't my thing. If I get on one, it's a victory. Anything more than tempo is asking too much.

I'm pretty burnt out on trainers since the 2012 pre-season. I needed to be home ASAP after work so I did one (or ten) too many 2x20 sessions on them. gah
gstein probably thinks im a ***** right now.
