Yesterday was my first successful 5x5 workout ever. Kept it in the power range I was aiming for, yadda yadda. Never pulled it off before...I've done 4x5s and 5x4s but those are a lot easier. Anyway, the 5x5's were at the same exact power as the 5x4's I did ~3wks ago, which is really nice, especially since it's ~15 degrees colder.

1hr z1 today. Weekend is 5-6 hours each day with a 20min tempo block in each hour of riding, same type of 4000kj+ rides as last weekend.

1 hour on the trainer last night at light tempo with six 30 second spin-ups. Hit a max of 176 rpm. Better than last time.

Last night did 90 mins endurance on the trainer, with another 60 today. According to sport tracks, my CTL is 80, ATL is 102, TSB -21. If I understand correctly, a -21 tsb isn't a bad thing at this point, still trying to get a feel for how to use these numbers in conjunction with how my legs feel to figure out when to give myself a break

Just under 5hrs, 4100kj, 228W, 237NP. 4x20min tempo. Skipped the 5th one because I spent a little bit of time in crampghanistan around hour 4. Scarfed a few gels and was A-OK.

**** winter.

Good hard workout. 3:25, 67 miles, 4600 feet, 210 AP, 267 NP.
Group ride, got an hour with two 20' sections at 99%, then climbed for 45' at 90%. Descended slowly.

Easy workout, if I wasn't sick. Four hours, 1600 Kj's. Three weeks ago I fell and hurt my back, I rode, but took it easy until it felt normal. This week was supposed to be a big week, but this damn sickness popped up. I'm getting in miles but not quality miles.

I'll be 63 when I get out there. I'll probably still get my ass handed to me, but at least it will be with appropriate dignity and decorum.

About 4.5 hours today, with the Spectrum group ride in the middle.

Holloway (reigning crit natl champ) showed up, and took off on Alpine. I jumped on along with a few others, I was dying. Sprinted like an idiot for one of the random sprints along the way, he didn't then jumped soon after. Few minutes after that I went otb... spending about 30 minutes at ~180 bpm is hard!!

Then did a few hours after that ride, then went to the team launch party where I ate a bunch of pasta & pizza. Mmmmm good stuff.

2-1/2 chilly, windy hours. Amazingly I'd rather climb than descend this time of year.

About 2.5 hours today including the Low Key Hill Climb. Fudgy, one of his teammates and I rode to the start of the race, raced and rode back - fun day, beautiful weather.

Managed to get in 42mi and 1300ft today. My biggest rode since coming back from my broken back 2 weeks ago. Going to be a 10 hour week which blows my mind considering is only my second full week after 100+ days in a back brace and no riding.

Viva, b!tches.
