We are trying to reduce beer intake here, though it is for different reasons between my wife and me. However it is difficult, I'm typing this having put back a couple of stouts this evening. In my defense, we were watching a bad movie. Anyway, my crappy scale tells me that it's unnecessary and that I weigh within 1 lb of what I did in college, but I do not believe it. I have love handles now that I did not have then, and I want them to go away and let me climb slightly better.

Well since I'm not quitting, that's a for me. The next step would be some kind of actual closer monitoring of diet beyond our current vague "try to eat more vegetables" thing, and that's just painful to contemplate.

Man there were a lot of cyclists on Canada Road today. 1:30 that included a time trial. After I was done, I sat on the rear bumper of my car with my shirt off soaking up the sun.

I got a head cold Monday night. I took Tamiflu Tuesday morning and my cold and symptoms were gone by Thursday. Tamiflu is amazing if you catch the virus within 24 hours of the onset of symptoms.

Low 40s here. I rode, and it started raining. Not fun. A total of 1:24 (mostly in the rain) of what was supposed to be three hours.

This mofowka is good down to like 20* with layering, and I've used it in high 30' and raining/mid 20's and snowing and it does the job like gangbusters. If you're expecting more insane weather, might try it out; objects in coat are less badass than they appear.
