Vittoria Valve extenders+Schwalbe Tubes =???

I bought some red vittoria extenders to use for my new wheels, they're long enough. I can seem to get them to install on my schwalbe tubes. I removed the core off of the tubes, what next????

can you post a link to the particular extenders that you purchased? vittoria makes 2 types. you may have purchased the ones that are designed for vittoria tubulars.

Vittoria Valve extenders aren't really valve extenders. Vittoria tubulars have removeable valve stems; you take off the entire valve stem, and screw on the new stem in the appropriate length. they're designed to work with Vittoria tires. To my knowledge they don't work on other brand's tires.

actually, vittoria does make valve extenders (www.wheelbuilder.com/vittoria-valve-extenders.html), but i think he has the vittoria "removable valve" for tubulars, which is red.

i thought that vittoria also made some valve extenders in red so i didn't think that was a critical piece of information when i read the OP and asked for a pic, but after a quick search it seems that the red ones are only the removable valves.

OP: you have the wrong item. you need valve extenders. vittoria, tufo, continental and more companies make them. i find continental extenders are the same price for a package as tufos but you get 2 of them in the conti package instead of one. they're of equal quality.

^ True, but I was referrring to what he apparently has. To be more accurate I should have said what the OP has aren't valve extenders, rather they're different length changeable stems.
