We had a thing in the Sunday paper a few weeks ago about the whole Laker team going on a Paleo diet. Interesting, I guess...well, interesting enough to read, which is better than a lot of other stuff in the Sunday paper.

I have read the nutritional information and ngrediants for Protein bars so I do not eat them. I will eat Trail Mix on long rides. It provides a nice balance of Protein, Carbohydrates and unsaturated fats. I usualy wait until my body tells me it needs food which is typically 20 miles into the trip. On ride days, I eat enough extra calories to replace at least half the caolories I burn on the Bike.

Baby steps!
I'm vegetarian and just about every time I go to my in-laws house they asks "You still eat chicken and fish though, right?". It's the second most common question next to right behind "where do you get your protein?"
