The kosher for passover stuff (read: sugar, not corn syrup) comes out in Late February and goes on sale. I fill a closet with it for the coming year.
Nice tip.

This. Stuff works great. Great bang for the buck. Fudge Rounds work great during winter too.

King Size Rice Krispie + Mexican Coke = Rocket Fuel. Extremely high GI, though. Use accordingly.

Also: Any convenience store worth patronizing will keep the Snickers in their freezer.

Dried apricots work for me when I want some carbs that won't cause digestion problems, but my primary source of calories on a ride/race is diluted honey.

Bananas. God's energy bar. Eating the fake kind is an affront to Him; that's why you don't win.

Honey. The bees slaved and died so that you can get a bit of juice for the last 15k. Honor their memories.

Coffee. Because, it's coffee.

Bacon. See: coffee.

Small baked new potatoes, as noted.

Pecan rolls which are only sold at the bakery in Corsicana, TX. I attribute my only 40+ RR podium to their beneficial effects.

Nah people replace the stolen honey with HFCS so the bees don't starve to death. The bees do pretty well on it...

No they didn't. They slaved away for themselves and their young, not for us. We brazenly stole it from them and their babies. Next time you get stung by a bee while riding, remember that.

Also, lately I've been using these. Baby food. Not all that calorie-dense but helps me with the hunger knock late in a long ride. Probably wouldn't use them in a race.

It should be said. Don't eat anything in a race that you haven't already tried on a ride.
