Armstrong & the Discovery team in Paris-Nice

Wow, the "A" team with all the Discovery bigs to race in the Paris-Nice: Armstrong, Azevedo, Beltran, Ekimov, Hincapie, Popovych, Rubiera, Savoldelli...

Pretty strong team, they aren't there just to "train" or "scout"... Also, I thought Salvodelli was side-lined with a broken collar bone, seems like it's healing well...

I thought they were going to have daily coverage of P-N because Lance was racing in it?

I bet they show it (given LA riding) he is going to be their
bread and butter in the cycling dept, or at least that's what
they think.
Given the A team going, I'm thinking Lance is serious about the
classics, I'm not looking for him at Tour this year.

I personally think that Lance's main goal is the classics. This being said I believe he is training to win the classics, and when the tour rolls up he will decide if training for the classics has given him the form needed to win the tour. If not he sits out.

I agree with that 100%.

And I hope this happens. The more classics he's in, the more coverage of the classics we'll get.

The discovery team looks mighty good for P-N, so does the rest of the field, its going to be an exciting race.

Alexandre Vinokourov, Jaksche, Valverde, Rebellin, Voight, Sastre, Frigo, Fletcha too many to list. Its like a mini Tour with so many big names.

USA Today says that Lance will announce his Tour plans within the next 2 weeks. I guess there will be a press conference before or during P-N.

Personally I would love to see Lance do well at the classics but then I would like to see him race as a domestique for Discovery.

Hasn't anyone seen what Lance is up to. Lance is going for the #1 ranking overall. He will race before, at, and after the Tour de France. He will also win # 7 on the way. Remember where you heard it first. !!!!!

According to the other thread on OLN that had the "press release" about their cycling coverage, it showed Paris Nice as a Sunday highlight.
